About Plaza Hotel Area

The Plaza Hotel has been a NYC landmark since 1907, sitting at the southeast corner of Central Park at 5th Avenue and Central Park South. For over a century, horse-drawn carriages have queued up in front of its grand stone façade, making the Plaza corner synonymous with Central Park carriage rides in every postcard, movie, and proposal photo ever taken here. Our pickup is a two-minute walk west along 59th Street.

Where we pick up

We pick up at 7th Avenue and Central Park South (59th Street), which is two blocks west of The Plaza's 5th Avenue entrance. From the Plaza's front doors, walk west along the south side of 59th Street — you'll pass Grand Army Plaza, Bergdorf Goodman, and then arrive at our stand at the 7th Ave corner in under 3 minutes.

How to get here from Plaza Hotel Area

Exit The Plaza via the 59th Street entrance (facing Central Park). Turn left (west) and walk along the south side of 59th Street for about 2 blocks. You'll cross 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) and continue to 7th Avenue. Our carriages are parked on the corner.

Guests at The Plaza frequently ask the concierge to call a carriage "to the Plaza entrance." Technically carriages cannot queue on 5th Avenue (it's too busy) — you'll always be directed to our 7th Ave stand. The walk is short and arguably the best way to see The Plaza's façade before your ride.
