About Midtown Manhattan

Midtown Manhattan is NYC's dense core — Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue shopping, and the bulk of the hotel rooms that tourists book when visiting the city. If you're staying anywhere between 40th Street and 59th Street, you're in Midtown, and our carriage pickup is a 10-15 minute walk or a quick cab ride north to 59th Street.

Where we pick up

Our pickup stand is at 7th Avenue and Central Park South (59th Street). From Times Square (42nd Street), walk uptown on 7th Avenue for roughly 17 blocks — about 15 minutes at a relaxed pace. From Rockefeller Center (50th Street), walk uptown on 6th or 7th Avenue for about 8 minutes.

How to get here from Midtown Manhattan

Most Midtown hotels are on 6th, 7th, or 8th Avenue. Walking uptown to our 59th Street pickup takes 8-20 minutes depending on your starting block. If walking, take 7th Avenue (one block west of Times Square) — the landmarks along the way include Radio City Music Hall (at 50th), Carnegie Hall (at 57th), and The Plaza Hotel (at 58-59th).

Local pro tip

In theatre-show crowds, 7th Avenue between 42nd and 50th is packed. If you're coming from Times Square during show times, take the subway north — it's faster than walking.

Tourists with Times Square / Rockefeller-area hotel rooms, business travellers with evenings free, and anyone combining a carriage ride with dinner or a Broadway show.
