About Central Park South

Central Park South (also known as 59th Street) is Central Park's most famous edge — the glass-and-limestone corridor bordered by The Plaza Hotel, the Essex House, and the CNN / Hearst towers. It's also the street where our carriages queue up every day, right at the 7th Avenue corner. If you're staying on Central Park South, your walk to the carriage is measured in feet, not minutes.

Where we pick up

Our pickup stand is at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Central Park South (59th Street), on the south side of the street directly across from the Central Park entrance. From any hotel along Central Park South, the walk is under two minutes.

How to get here from Central Park South

Walk west along Central Park South (59th Street) until you reach the corner with 7th Avenue. Our carriages are parked on the south-side curb. Look for the NYC Royal Carriage branding and the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission medallion on each carriage.

Local pro tip

If you're staying at The Plaza, Essex House, or any Central Park South hotel, walk to the pickup — don't take a cab. The streets here are usually gridlocked, and a cab often takes longer than walking the 2-4 blocks to our stand.

Guests staying on Central Park South, couples heading to or from dinner at nearby restaurants (The Russian Tea Room, The Rainbow Room, Per Se), and anyone flying in to a midtown hotel for a short stay.
